[김택곤 기자=정선군] 정선군은 22일 군청 소회의실에서 원홍식 정선부군수를 비롯한 민간위원 등이 참석한 가운데 정선군다문화가족지원협의회 정기총회를 개최했다.

정선군 다문화가족협의회는 원홍식 정선부군수를 위원장으로 교육·경제·복지분야 등 전문가 11명으로 구성되어 있으며, 이날 위촉장을 전달했다.

이날 정기총회는 다문화가족이 지역사회에 안정적으로 정착할 수 있도록 기관 간 협력방안 모색, 다문화가족에 필요한 지원 방향 및 정책에 대하여 논의하는 시간을 가졌다.

정기총회에서는 군에서 다문화가족들의 건강하고 행복한 삶과 안정적인 정착을 위해 추진하고 있는 사업들에 대한 보고와 함께 정보를 공유하는 자리가 마련되었다.

또한 이날 총회에서는 범죄예방, 외국인 안전교육, 취약계층 위기지원 서비스, 자연친화적 숲 치유 프로그램, 소방안전교육, 수화통역, 다문화가족 법률 자문 및 상담 등 다문화가족들에게 실질적으로 필요한 서비스와 정책들이 체계적으로 추진될 수 있도록 유관기관간 협력사항에 대하여 논의하고 다같이 협력해 나기기로 했다.

아울러 정선군에는 올해 10월기준 베트남, 중국, 필리핀, 탐보디아, 태국 등 240여 명의 결혼이민자들이 생활하고 있다.
