[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 태백시는 2022년 강원도 성인문해교육 시화전에 참가한 태백시 성인문해교육 학습자 4명이 수상의 영예를 안았다고 밝혔다.

2022년 성인문해교육 시화전은 교육부가 주최하고, 국가평생교육진흥원이 주관한 전국 단위의 공모 행사이며, ‘문해, 지금 나는 봄이다’ 주제로 성인문해교육의 필요성과 중요성에 대한 사회적 인식 제고와 문해교육학습자의 참여 확대를 목적으로 개최됐다.

문해교육 시화부문에 참가한 박금자 어르신은 ‘천불난다요’로 우수상(강원인재육성평생교육진흥원장상)을, 정복순 어르신은 ‘아름다운 세상’으로 시화부문 장려상을, 남부남 어르신은 ‘나의 막내딸 영미에게’, 최정희 어르신은 ‘사랑하는 딸 화진아’로 각각 엽서쓰기 부문 격려상을 수상했다. 

태백시 관계자는 “이번 시화전을 통해 비문해자의 성인문해교육 참여 동기를 유발하는 계기가 되길 바라며, 나아가 성인문해교육을 통해 배움에 대한 두려움을 극복하고, 만학의 꿈을 이루신 어르신들께 축하의 말씀을 드린다”라고 말했다.

또한 “앞으로도 태백시 평생학습관은 시민 맞춤형 프로그램을 개발·운영하여 태백시민이라면 남녀노소 누구나 평생교육의 기쁨을 누릴 수 있도록 노력하겠다”고 말했다. 

한편, 시상식은 오는 9월 23일 횡성국민체육센터에서 진행될 예정이다.
