[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 오는 12월 15일까지 양주시 회천4동은 지역 주민의 복지향상을 위해 활동할 제4기 지역사회보장협의체 신규위원을 모집한다고 밝혔다.

지역사회보장협의체는 지역 주민의 다양한 복지욕구와 지역문제를 주체적으로 해결하고 도움이 필요한 주민을 찾아 복지서비스를 연계하는 등 우리 마을의 찾아가는 복지해결사 역할을 하고 있다고 했다.

신청자격은 지역의 사회보장 활동을 수행하거나 서비스를 제공하는 기관·법인·단체·시설 또는 공익단체의 실무자, 비영리민간단체의 추천인, 이·통장, 주민자치위원, 자원봉사단체 구성원, 그 밖에 관할 지역의 사회 증진에 열의가 있는 자 등이며, 임기는 2023년부터 2024년까지 2년이라고 전했다.

이창열 회천4동장은 “지역사회보장협의체는 마을 복지의 최전선에서 복지 사각지대에 놓인 이웃을 발굴해 돕는 활동을 하며 중요한 역할을 하는 주민 조직이다”라며 “제4기 회천4동 지역사회보장협의체 신규 위원모집에 많은 관심과 참여를 부탁드린다”고 말했다.

한편 제3기 회천4동 지역사회보장협의체는 2019년부터 2020년까지 독거노인에게 치킨을 전달하며 안부를 확인하는 ‘치킨이 왔어孝’, 지역아동센터를 이용하는 아동에게 음악놀이와 심리치료를 진행하는 ‘THE 같이 놀이치료’, 복지사각지대에 놓인 중장년층에게 미용 혜택을 지원하는 ‘멋진 날, 멋진 나’등 세대와 계층을 아우르는 복지사업 12개를 실시했다고 밝혔다.
