[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 2월 28일, 횡성군도시재생지원센터는 상호간 신뢰와 우호 관계를 바탕으로 인적, 물적 자원의 교류와 협력으로 횡성군의 발전을 위한 미래의 핵심인재 육성에 적극 노력하기로 하고 횡성교육지원청과 업무협약을 체결하였다고 밝혔다.

이번 업무협약을 통해 양측은 횡성군 내 학생 등 미래의 핵심인재 육성 및 군민을 위한 다양한 교육프로그램 활동과 기타 횡성군 도시재생사업의 원활한 사업추진을 위하여 행정 지원 등 다양한 방법으로 공동체 및 도시 활력을 회복하겠다는 계획이라고 전했다.

횡성군도시재생지원센터는 지난 2021년 도시재생예비사업의 일환으로 우천면 아동들을 대상으로 한 ‘아동친화메뉴 개발’과 ‘교육용 보드게임 운영’, ‘쇠목골 아동마을 문화공부책 발간’등의 프로그램을 추진하였으며, 둔내면의 경우 ‘청소년 돌봄교사 양성교육’이 현재 진행 중에 있고, 또한, 횡성읍 구리고개 도시재생 주민협의체는 지난 2021년 ‘할머니가 들려주는 꽃 이야기’프로그램을 진행하여 횡성초등학교와 성남초등학교 학생 120명을 대상으로 원예교육을 진행한 바 있으며, 2022년 3월부터는 지난해 12월 개소된 주민거점공간에서 학생 및 지역주민들을 대상으로 추가 접수를 받아 진행할 예정이라고 했다.
