[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 12월 한 달 간, 횡성군도시재생지원센터는 '할머니가 들려주는 꽃 이야기' 프로그램을 진행한다고 밝혔다. 

이번 프로그램은 2021 횡성군 도시재생 예비사업의 일환으로 원예교육과정을 이수한 구리고개 주민협의체 회원이 참여하고, 이들은 아동·유아·청소년 등을 대상으로 다양하고 재미있는 원예체험을 선보일 예정이라고 했다.

첫 수업은 지난 12월 2일, 횡성군장애인종합복지관에서 이용자들을 대상으로 열렸으며,이달 말까지 횡성여고, 성북초등학교, 성남초등학교 등지에서 총 5회에 걸쳐 진행될 예정이라고 했다. 

이번 프로그램은 원예교육이라는 콘텐츠를 매개로 노인과 청년 사이의 공백을 메우고, 옛 조손 사이에 이루어졌던 무릎 교육을 복원하기 위해 기획되었으며, 유아·아동·청소년의 정서 지원 및 인성 발달에 효과적인 한편 단절된 사회 소외계층의 인간관계를 회복시켜줄 것으로 기대되고 있다고 했다. 

박창현 회장은“원예체험에 참여하는 이용자들 모두가 따뜻한 정을 느낄 수 있는 시간이 되길 바란다. ”고 전했다.
