[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 2월 9일 오후 2시, 횡성군도시재생지원센터는 횡성군의 문화적 여건과 자원을 활용한 도시재생 구현을 위해 횡성문화원과 업무협약을 체결했다고 밝혔다.

이번 업무협약을 통해 양측은 횡성군이 지닌 문화·예술적 자원을 도시재생과 연계하여 물리적 환경개선과 도시경쟁력 강화, 지역 활력 회복을 이룩하여, 도시재생의 질적 향상을 꾀하겠다는 계획이라고 전했다. 

함광민 센터장은 “양 기관의 전문성을 바탕으로 삶과 문화가 깃든 횡성군 도시재생을 적극 추진하여 전국의 선진사례가 될 수 있도록 노력하겠다”고 말했다.

박순업 문화원장은 “지역이 가진 자원과 공간을 충실히 반영한 도시재생을 지향한다”며, “이번 업무협약을 통해 우리 군에 맞는 문화적 도시재생이 구현되어 보다 나은 고품격 도시로 자리매김 할 수 있도록 적극 지원하겠다”고 밝혔다.
