[안종욱 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 18일, 가평 북면 행정복지센터는 북면에 이웃돕기 물품을 장기간 후원해주고 있는 업체 2곳을 방문, 면민들을 대신하여 감사의 뜻을 전하며 격려하는 시간을 가졌다고 밝혔다.  

북면 지역은 여타의 사회지표와 마찬가지로 사회복지분야도 매우 열악하여 사회복지시설 및 인적·물적 자원이 크게 부족한 상태였고, 이런 북면에 종운식품은 지난 2018년 9월부터 지금까지 매월 2회 반찬후원을, 또 다른 후원업체인 파주닭국수는 지난 2019년 10월부터 매월 1회 닭죽을 후원해주고 있다고 했다. 

종운식품 이종배씨는 “더 후원하지 못해 미안한데 이렇게 격려까지 해주셔서 몸 둘 바를 모르겠다며 여력이 될 때까지 꾸준히 후원을 이어가겠다” 고 소감을 전하였다.   

남경호 북면장은 “장기간 북면지역에 소중한 후원을 해주시는 두 업체 대표님에게 진심으로 감사드리며 후원업체 개발 및 관리에 더욱 힘써 풍성한 북면이 되도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 말하였다.
