[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 의정부시의회는 올해 행정사무감사를 앞두고 지난 22~23일 양일간 상임위원회별로 관내 주요 공공시설 및 사업장을 방문해 추진 상황을 점검했다고 전했다.

이번 현장 방문에서 위원들은 집행부에서 추진하는 주요 사업 추진현황과 운영방안 등을 점검하고 예산 집행의 적정성 여부 및 추진상 미흡한 점을 파악하는 데 집중했다. 

자치행정위원회는 의정부시장애인체육회, 청소년상담복지센터, 의정부문화재단, 의정부시 청년센터, 의정부영상미디어센터, 미술도서관, 의정부시상권활성화재단, 의정부시육아종합지원센터(아이사랑 놀이터) 등 8개소를 방문해 현장을 둘러봤다.

도시·건설위원회는 이커머스 클러스터 조성사업(CRC), 의정부시 유류저장소 도시개발사업, 신곡체육공원 민간공원 특례사업, 의정부 복합문화단지 도시개발사업(도시지원시설용지 내 물류센터), 도봉면허시험장 이전 사업, 공공하수처리시설 현대화 민간투자사업, 자원회수시설 이전 민간투자사업, 의정부 도심숲속 청소년 힐링센터 건립사업 등 8개소의 현장을 점검했다.

현장 점검을 마친 위원들은 “현장방문을 통해 사업에 대한 이해를 높일 수 있었고, 현장에서 확인된 문제점이나 개선이 필요한 사항에 대해서는 10월에 있을 사무감사에 적극적으로 반영할 것”이라며 "현안 사업을 면밀히 검토하고 구체적인 대안을 모색해 합리적인 정책 방향을 제시하는 생산적인 행정사무감사가 되도록 모든 역량을 집중하겠다”라고 밝혔다.

행정사무감사는 오는 10월 12일부터 진행되며, 이번 현장 점검과 사전에 집행부에 요구한 자료에 대한 질의‧답변을 통해 지난 1년간의 시정 전반을 꼼꼼히 짚어볼 예정이다.
