[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 안병용 의정부시장은 지난 5월 20일, 경기북부상공회의소로부터 감사패를 받았다고 전했다. 

경기북부상공회의소는 바람직한 기업환경 조성 및 상공인들의 경제적·사회적 지위 향상을 위해 다양한 기업활동을 지원해 온 안병용 시장에게 감사패를 수여했다. 

최근수 경기북부상공회의소 회장은 “불확실한 경영환경과 끝이 보이지 않는 코로나19 속에서도 경기북부지역과 의정부시의 기업 경쟁력을 이끌어내고자 밤낮으로 고민하고 힘써주신 시장님의 그간 노고에 감사드린다”고 밝혔다. 

안병용 의정부시장은 “지난 12년은 경제 활성화에 보탬이 된다는 보람과 어떻게 하면 지역산업의 성장을 이끌어낼 수 있을까 고뇌가 공존하는 시간이었다”라고 운을 띄우며 “그동안 아낌없는 격려와 성원을 보내주신 모든 분들께 감사드리고, 시정을 떠나게 되어 아쉽지만 앞으로도 의정부시에 대한 애정은 변치 않을 것”이라고 말했다.

의정부시는 급변하는 세계경제흐름과 최신경영 트랜드를 파악하기 위한 운영사업인 CEO아카데미 지원을 통해 작년 44명의 수료자를 배출한 바 있다고 했다.

상공회의소의 원활한 운영을 위해 매년 행정적·재정적 지원을 지속해 온 의정부시에 감사의 뜻을 전했다.
