[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 17일 가평군의회가 의장실에서 예비군 육성에 기여한 공로로 육군참모총장으로부터 감사패를 받았다고 밝혔다. 

가평군의회는 지역 방위의 핵심자원인 예비군의 육성을 위한 예산을 적극 지원하는 등 통합방위태세 확립을 위한 민‧관‧군의 긴밀한 협조체계 구축에 크게 기여한 공로를 인정받았으며, 이날 감사패는 남영신 육군참모총장을 대신해 제66보병사단 전병희 사단장이 가평군의회를 방문해 배영식 의장에게 전달했다고 전했다.

배영식 의장은 “국가의 안보를 책임지는 국군장병과 예비군의 노고에 깊은 감사를 드린다.”며, “앞으로도 관･군 협력을 통해 향토방위가 한층 더 발전할 수 있도록 각별한 관심과 지원을 아끼지 않겠다.”고 말했다.
