[남상훈 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 오는 8월 5일부터 8월 24일까지 의정부시는 제35회 의정부시 문화상의 수상 후보자를 접수 받는다고 밝혔다.

의정부시 문화상은 각 분야에서 시정발전에 이바지하고 시의 명예를 드높인 유공자를 찾아 타 시민의 귀감이 되도록 매년 수여하는 상으로, 5년 이상 의정부시 거주자 또는 등록기준지가 의정부인 사람으로서 의정부시의 명예를 선양했거나 지역발전을 위해 헌신 봉사한 사람을 대상으로 한다.

학술·교육, 문화·예술 부문과 체육진흥, 봉사 및 효행, 그리고 지역발전 부문의 총 5개 분야에서 1명씩을 선발해, 올해 10월 제51회 시민의 날 기념식에서 시상할 계획이며, 후보자 신청은 해당 부문의 추천권자의 추천을 받거나 공고일 현재 의정부시에 주민등록이 돼 있는 만 20세 이상 시민 50명 이상의 추천 서명을 받은 추천서를 의정부시 문화관광과로 제출하면 된다.

김진수 문화관광과장은 “의정부시는 그간 총 121명을 선발해 문화상을 수여했으며, 이번 의정부시 문화상 수상에도 시민들의 많은 관심과 참여를 부탁드린다”고 말했다.
