[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 14일 11시, 횡성군자원봉사센터는 횡성문화원 1층 발표회장에서 자원봉사자의 날 기념 '2021년 횡성군 자원봉사자 시상식'을 개최하였다고 밝혔다.

금번 시상식은 자원봉사자의 날을 기념하여 금년 한 해 동안 자원봉사를 통하여 이웃과 지역사회에 나눔과 사랑을 실천하는 자원봉사자를 격려하고자 마련되었으며, 코로나19 확산방지를 위해 자원봉사유공 포상자만이 참석한 가운데 추진했고, 우수한 자원봉사자에 대한 표창 수여식으로 간략하게 추진된 이번 시상식은 코로나19의 역경 속에서도 횡성군 곳곳에서 활발한 자원봉사를 펼친 30명이 수상의 영광을 얻었다고 했다.

조원문 횡성군자원봉사센터장은 “금년에는 코로나19의 역경이 있었지만 예방접종센터 지원, 농촌일손돕기 등 적극적으로 활동한 자원봉사자 덕부에 횡성에서 자원봉사의 손길이 필요한 곳곳에서 따뜻한 일년을 보낼 수 있었으며, 내년에도 우리군 자원봉사자의 활발한 활동이 이루어지길 바란다”고 전했다.
