[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 12월 10일 오후 2시, 횡성군은 횡성문화원 발표회장에서 횡성형 마을교육공동체를 활성화시키기 위한 '횡성교육포럼'을 개최한다고 밝혔다.

군은 지역교육의 새로운 모델로 마을이 아이들을 키우고, 아이들의 배움터가 되는 환경을 만들어 가는 횡성형 마을교육공동체를 운영하고 있으며, 지난해 4개 지역(우천, 안흥, 공근, 강림)을 시범운영으로 시작된 이번 사업은 1년여만에 정착되어 갑천, 청일지역까지 확대 운영되고 있으며, 타 지역에 우수사례로 전파되어 벤치마킹의 발걸음도 잇따르고 있다고 했다. 

이번 포럼은 사회적협동조합 마을과 강원도민일보사가 주관하여 '마을교육공동체 활성화를 통한 명품 횡성교육 모델 찾기'라는 주제로 진행되며, 인천마을교육공동체포럼 김보규 대표와 강원도교육청 윤형순 장학사의 주제발표 이후 자유토론과 질의 응답의 시간을 가질 계획이라고 전했다. 

한편 이번 포럼은 코로나19 확산 차단을 위해 코로나19 백신 2차 접종 완료자에 한해 참석 가능하며, 좌석 간 거리두기, 발열 체크 등 방역 수칙을 철저히 준수하여 개최된다고 했다.

김홍석 교육복지과장은 “이번 포럼을 통해 그동안의 사업 성과를 돌아보고 저변을 확대시켜 탄탄한 교육생태계를 구축해, 살고 싶은 횡성, 명품교육도시 횡성을 조성해나가겠다.”고 말했다.
