[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 11월 30일, 횡성군은 횡성문화원에서 아동 청소년의 꿈과 생각을 횡성군 정책으로 반영하기 위한 '횡성군 아동청소년 정책제안 대회'를 실시하였다고 밝혔다.

이번 정책제안대회는 아동청소년들이 스스로 문제를 발견하고 해결하는 정책을 발굴함으로써 아동친화도시 횡성 조성에 기여하고 제안된 정책을 군정에 반영함으로써, 아동청소년의 참여권을 확대하기 위해 개최되었다고 했다. 

참가 대상은 횡성 거주 아동청소년(만10세-18세, 초등4-고등학생)으로, 총 10개팀이 신청하여 7팀이 최종 본선에 진출하였고, 본선에 진출한 7개팀은 ''아동이 배고프지 않을 권리', '아동들의 꿈을 찾아주세요', '아동이 안전한 횡성', '청소년 문화생활 및 복지지원 확대', '모든 아동이 안전한 아동청소년 보호구역', '배움으로 비상하는 횡성군', '우리의 안전한 등굣길을 책임지는 '도로시'' 등의 정책을 발표하였다고 했다.

7팀은 각각 개성 넘치는 발표와 참신한 정책으로 심사위원 및 관람객에게 호평을 받았으며, 대상은 중고등 팀을 제치고 횡성초 4학년으로 구성된 찹쌀떡팀의 ‘아동이 안전한 횡성’정책 제안이 차지하였으며, 또한, 최우수상은 아꿈자성팀(모든 아동이 안전한 아동청소년 보호구역), 문돌이팀(청소년 문화생활 및 복지지원 확대), 우수상은 아행세팀(아동들의 꿈을 찾아주세요), 내의견을들어조팀(우리의 안전한 등굣길을 책임지는 '도로시’)이 선정되었다고 전했다.

장신상 군수는 “도내 유일 아동친화도시 횡성에서 최초로 실시한 아동청소년 정책제안대회라 더욱 의미가 깊었다. 앞으로도 아동청소년들의 참여권을 확대하고, 아동청소년이 군정에 참여할 수 있는 통로를 확대해나가겠다.”고 말했다.
