이날 행사는 춘천역에서 시청까지 장애인식캠페인을 시작해 시청 작은공연마당에서 약 100여명이 모여서 춘천형 권리중심 중증장애인 공공일자리사업 발대식으로 마무리한다고 했다.

중증장애인 공공일자리사업은 최중증 장애인에게도 헌법이 보장하는 노동권을 부여하고 장애인이 살만한 도시를 조성하기 위해 노력하고 있는 시정부의 힘찬 발걸음이라고 했다.

올해 2월 시정부는 「춘천형 권리중심 중증장애인 공공일자리사업」을 수행할 수행기관 4개를 공개 모집했으며, 이후 ㈜나비소셜네트워크, 지적발달장애인복지협회춘천시지회, 춘천시장애인종합복지관, 춘천호반장애인자립생활센터를 선정했고, 각 수행기관에서는 장애인과 관리인력을 공개 채용을 진행했다고 전했다.

강원장애인자립생활센터협의회 관계자는 “장애인은 그동안 노동시장에서 배제돼 왔다”라며 “이 사업을 통해 장애인 당사자가 권리를 생산하는 노동의 주체가 되기에 장애인 일자리의 새로은 대안을 제시할 것”이라고 말했다.
