[김준호 기자 = 삼척시] 김진태 강원도지사가 9월 14일 삼척시 를 찾아 민선8기 ‘새로운 강원도! 특별자치시대!’를 여는 '고 원팀'(Go! One-Team)비전공유 간담회를 삼척시 시민회의장에서 가졌다고 밝혔다.

삼척을 찾은 김 지사는 "새로운 관광도시로 부각하는 삼척시에 포항∼삼척 철도, 평택∼삼척 동서고속도로 착공 등 고속교통망 확충으로 더 많은 관광객이 찾아올 것으로 기대한다"고 말했다.

이날 간담회서 삼척시는 정부·강원도 계획과 연계한 수소산업 육성을 통하여 ‘수소기업육성 산학연 클러스터 조성’을 위해 2022년부터 2026년까지 총 693억 원 투입 계획을 설명했다. 또한, 수소산업 육성사업 추진 및 정부 공모사업 신청 등 지속적 상호협력과 원전해체부지 에코라이프타운 조성, 관광휴양형 RE100 뉴딜타운 조성 등 주요 핵심사업 추진을 위한 중앙부처와 강원도의 재정 지원도 건의했다.

이에 김 지사는 "삼척을 중심으로 동해안을 액화수소 에너지 혁신 허브로 성장시키겠다"며 "삼척이 수소기업 전문산업단지로 지정받을 수 있도록 적극적으로 협력하겠다"고 약속했다.

간담회를 마친 후 김 도지사는 삼척시 주요 현안사업장인 수소생산시설 및 버스충전소를 현장 점검했다.

삼척시 관계자는 “강원도와 지속적인 협력을 통해 주요 현안사업들이 원활하게 추진될 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다.”고 전했다.
