[남상훈 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 오는 18일부터 20일까지 3일간 평창군은 ‘2022 강원도 세계인공지능 바둑대회’가 온라인 방식으로 개최된다고 전했다.

4차 산업혁명이라는 새로운 시대를 맞아 평창에서 국내 최초로 개최되는 ‘세계인공지능 바둑대회’는 인공지능 바둑 프로그램의 개발 척도를 겨루는 대회로서 한국기원이 주최·주관하고 강원도와 평창군이 후원한다고 했다.

오는 18일 오후 1시 평창군 용평리조트 드래곤밸리호텔 1층 그랜드볼룸에서 열릴 개막식에는 임채정 한국기원 총재를 비롯해 최문순 강원도지사, 한왕기 평창군수, 임규선 강원도바둑협회장, 신현구 평창군바둑협회장, 김성래 심판위원장 등이 참석해 개막식을 축하한다고 밝혔다.

이번 대회는 개최국 한국을 비롯해 중국, 일본, 호주, 프랑스 등 5개국에서 19개 팀이 참가 신청을 하였으며, 오는 18일 스위스리그 3라운드로 진행되는 예선을 통해 본선에 진출할 8개 팀을 선발하고 19일 본선 8강과 4강전, 오는 20일 3판 2선승제의 결승전이 진행되며, 결승전을 포함한 본선 주요 경기는 바둑TV에서 생중계한다고 밝혔다.
