[남상훈 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 13일 춘천시정부는 효자1동 행정복지센터 김도아 방문복지담당(사진 왼쪽)과 황수미 주무관(사진 중앙)에게 춘천시장표창을 수여했다고 밝혔다.
시정부에 따르면 김 담당과 황 주무관은 지난 3월 24일 효자1동의 한 가정을 방문했는데, 이곳에 거주하는 이모(103)씨는 코로나19 확진을 받았고, 고령의 나이인데다 청각장애를 앓고 있어 도움의 손길이 절실한 상황이었다고 했다.
평소 취약계층과 사각지대 해소에 적극적으로 나섰던 김 방문복지담당과 황 주무관은 즉시 이씨를 찾은 것인데, 이들은 방호복을 입은 채 3일 동안 식사를 지원하고 처방약 복용 확인 등 건강 상태를 직접 챙겼고, 두 공무원 덕분에 이씨는 무사히 격리기간을 지낼 수 있었다고 전했다.
춘천시정부 관계자는 “코로나19로 어려운 상황에서 두 공무원은 사회적 약자를 예우하는 착한도시에 이바지했다.”라고 말했다.
