[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 오는 11월 19일 의정부시는 의정부역 2층 대합실에서 의정부경찰서, 경기북부아동보호전문기관 등 유관기관과 함께 주변 시민을 대상으로 ‘2021년 아동학대 예방의 날’ 기념 아동학대 제로 캠페인을 추진한다고 밝혔다.

아동학대 예방의 날은 아동학대를 예방하고 아동보호에 대한 관심을 높이기 위해 제정한 법정기념일로서, 국제 인도주의 기구인 여성세계정상기금 WWSF에서 2000년에 최초로 제정한 것을 시작으로 대한민국에서는 2012년 아동복지법을 개정해 법적으로 아동학대 예방의 날을 지정·기념하고 있다고 했다.

이날 캠페인에서는 의정부시 아동학대 예방정책 카드 뉴스 판넬 8종을 전시해 아동학대에 대한 경각심을 불러일으키며 아동학대 유형별 사례 및 신고 방법을 홍보할 예정이고, 또한 아동학대 시민감시단 실천 서명 운동을 전개해 시민 모두가 아동학대의 감시자가 될 것과 적극적인 신고자가 될 것을 약속하는 시간을 가질 계획이며, 캠페인에 참여하는 시민들에게는 KF94마스크 등 소정의 홍보물을 배부해 시민 참여도를 높일 방안이라고 전했다.
