[김준호 기자 =동해시] 동해시(시장 심규언)가 지난 10월17일(월) 오후 4시 2022 의정비심의원회 개최에 결과에 따라, 내년도 연간 의정비를 1.4% 인상하기로 결정했다고 밝혔다.

의정비심의위원회는 교육, 법조, 언론계를 비롯하여, 시민사회단체, 의회 등에서 분야별 2~4명을 복수 추천, 자격심사를 거친 10명으로 구성되었다.

의정비심의위원회에서는 전년도인 2022년도 공무원보수 인상률 1.4%에  맞춰 의정자료 수집 연구 및 보조활동에 사용되는 비용을 보전하기 위한 월정수당을 기존 대비 1.4%(36만원) 상향한 2,654만원으로 의결하고, 직무활동에 대해 지급되는 의정활동비의 경우, 변동사항 없이 1,320만원(매월 110만원 지급)으로 유지하기로 하였다.

따라서, 동해시 의원은 내년에 1인당 총 3,974만원의 의정비를 지급받게 된다.

이번에 결정된 의정비의 경우 전년도(2022년도) 공무원보수 인상률인 1.4% 범위 내에서 인상되어, 의정비 결정 절차 중 하나인 전문여론기관조사 또는 공청회 등의 주민의견 수렴 과정은 생략되었으며, 의원에게 지급할 의정 활동비·월정수당 금액 결정을 위한 역할을 하는 의정비심의위원회는 지방자치법에 따라 4년에 한번 구성된다.
