[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 12월 23일 동두천시 생연2동 지역사회보장협의체는 보행불편 어르신 5명에게 보행보조기 ‘실버카’를 전달했다고 밝혔다.

생연2동 지역사회보장협의체는 협의체 특색사업으로 건강 취약계층 지원의 일환으로 거동이 불편한 어르신들이 좀 더 편리한 생활을 할 수 있도록 실버카를 전달했다고 했다.

정승수 위원장은 “주변에 지팡이를 짚고 불편하게 동네를 거니시는 어르신들을 볼 때마다 마음이 아팠는데 이번 기회에 실버카를 지원하게 되어 기쁘게 생각하며 일상생활에 조금이나마 도움이 되었으면 좋겠다”고 소감을 전했다.

김일 생연2동장은 “어려운 이웃에게 따뜻한 정을 나눌 수 있는 기회가 되어 좋았다”며 “앞으로도 생연2동 지역사회보장협의체와 동행정복지센터가 함께 이웃과 더불어 사는 살기 좋은 생연2동을 만들기 위해 노력하겠다”고 전했다.
