[남상훈 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 김동연 후보 선대위는 선거 유세가 시작된 지난 19일부터 어르신들과 소통하기 위해, 시니어유세단을 기획했다고 밝혔다. 

시니어유세단은 중앙유세단과 지역유세단으로 구성돼 있다. 중앙유세단에는 10여명의 어르신들이 활동하고 있으며, 지역유세단에는 31개 시․군 60개의 지역별로 2~3명의 어르신들이 활동하고 있다고 했다.

시니어유세단은 지역의 애로사항을 청취하고 김동연 후보의 세대별 공약을 알리고자, 지난 19일부터 총 700여 곳의 지역을 방문해 경기도 곳곳의 어르신들을 찾아가고 있다고 했다.

또한 젊은 세대를 대상으로도 친근감 있는 소통을 추진하는 등, 기성세대가 보수적이라는 고정관념을 깨고자 노력하고 있다고 전했다.

현장에서 유세단을 만난 한 어르신은 “같은 세대이고 친구처럼 대화하며, 선거뿐만 아니라 지역 문제에 대해 대화하느라 시간가는 줄 몰랐다”며 긍정적인 반응을 보이기도 했다.

이에 김동연 후보 동행캠프의 시니어유세단 관계자는 “지역에서 어르신들과 쌍방향 소통을 하기 위해 남은 선거 기간 동안 후보의 시니어 정책을 알리고, 애로사항을 청취해 향후 공약에 반영될 수 있도록 적극적인 활동에 나설 계획이다”라고 밝혔다.

한편, 김동연 후보는 어르신이 건강하고 행복한 경기도를 위한 5대 공약으로 돌봄 강화 약속, 건강한 노후를 위한 약속, 안전 주거 약속, 일자리 약속, 다양한 여가 프로그램 및 경로당 지원 등을 발표한 바 있다고 전했다.
