[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 2월 3일 동두천시 생연2동 귀빈당구장에서 부영1단지 경로당에 노인 여가활동 지원을 위한 당구시설을 무상으로 수리 지원했다고 밝혔다. 

귀빈당구장 장기형 대표는 “오래 전부터 부영1단지 경로당의 당구시설을 무상으로 수리해 왔으나 코로나19로 인해 방문하지 못했는데 이번 계기를 통해 수시 방문하여 사용법 등을 알려드리면서 어르신들의 안부도 확인하겠다”고 말했다.

부영1단지 경로당 회장은 “당구대 설치로 나이 많은 노인들의 단순 쉼터 역할만 하는 경로당이 젊은 노인들도 함께 할 수 있는 경로당으로 변모할 것으로 기대한다”고 말했다.

김일 생연2동장은 “고령화 시대에 따라 어르신들의 건강한 삶에 대한 욕구가 증가하고 있는 현실을 감안, 어르신들이 행복하게 살 수 있는 마을이 되도록 지속적으로 노력해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.
