[김일웅/김현우 기자= 경기북부] 최근 한 지방언론사가 제기한 가평군 '위탁사업자 선정'과 관련 '위탁업자 A씨와 지역기자 B씨'간에 녹취록이 공개 되면서 가평군수가 '이권사업 청탁'에 연루된 의혹제기가 지난 5월31일 최초로 불거졌다. 이어 해당언론사는 6월4일까지 5번에 걸친 보도를 하면서 가평군 게이트로 번져갔다. 위 녹취록에는 지역기자B씨가 위탁사업자A씨에게 '가평군 농촌테마파크 위탁사업자 선정 대가로 5억원을 요구'하며 가평군 김성기 군수를 거론하면서 불거졌다.

 

하지만, 본지가 최근 확보한 '위탁사업자A씨'의 또 다른 녹취록을 보면 가평군수를 거론한 지역기자 B씨에게 2억원을 전달한 사실이 없다고 하고 있다. 또, 지역기자 B씨 또한, 자신이 위탁사업자 A씨에게 가평군수를 핑계로 5억원을 요구한것은 맞지만, 자신의 이익을 취하기위한 행동이었을 뿐, 아무런 이익을 취한적이 없다고 말했다.

 

또, 위탁사업자 A씨는, 제3의 사업자에게 3억원은 요구한 것은 맞지만, 돈을 받은적은 없다고 본지가 입수한 녹취록에서 언급하고있다. A씨는 B씨가 요구한 5억원의 사용처가 가평군수와 관련된 것이라는 녹취된 내용을 토대로 제3의 사업자에게 3억원을 요청 한것으로 추정된다.

 

위 녹취록을 A씨로부터 신원불상의 여인이 또 다시 녹취를 하면서 마치 가평군 김성기 군수가 '이권사업 청탁'에 관여한 내용으로 둔갑하게 된것이다. 이를 둘러싼 의혹은 해당언론사가 A씨와 연락 두절로 확대 해석 되면서 금전2억원의 행방으로 초점이 맞추어지고 있는 가운데 A씨의 또 다른 녹취록이 등장하면서 모든 사건의 반전이 일어난다.

해당 내용을 자세히 들여다 보면 A씨는 위탁사업자 선정을 위해 지역기자 B씨를 만났고 여기서 B씨는 A씨에게 금전 5억원을 요구한다. 이후 B씨가 금전의 사용처로 가평군 김성기군수를 거론하면서 선 지급했다고 하는 문제의 2억이 김성기군수에게 흘러갔느냐에 초점이 맞추어지고 있었다.

 

현재 누구말이 맞는지 상반되는 주장이 나오고 있는 가운데 해당언론사는 사실관계를 규명할 A씨와의 연락이 안되면서 이 사건은 눈덩이처럼 커졌다. 하지만, 본지가 해당 A씨의 또 다른 녹취록을 단독 입수하면서 그 녹취록을 통해 A씨의 입장을 들을수 있었다.

이 녹취록에는 A씨자신은 B씨에게 금전 2억원을 전달한 사실이 없다는 것이다. 또, 제보자로 의심되는 한 여인이 등장하는데 신원불상의 여인이 제3의 사업자와 A씨를 연결한 사실도 언급하고 있다. 또 이여인과 제3의 사업자가 A씨 자신에게 "기자를 잘알고 있다. 녹취록을 갖고 있다. 이 녹취록을 까발리겠다."라는 내용으로 A씨 자신에게 해를 가하려는 목적으로 협박을 행사했다고 토로하고 있다.
