[김일웅 국장= 경기북부/강원] 지난 29일 강원삼척(제2선거구)도의원에 도전한 김준호 예비후보를 브레이크뉴스가 만났다. 김준호 예비후보는 “국무총리자문위원 및 김두관 국회의원 조직특보· 행정안전부 정부혁신포럼 운영위원· 전국자치분권민주지도자회의 강원공동대표· (전)더민주 대전환선대위 자치행정특보단장을 역임하면서 정치의 꿈을 키운 지도 어느덧 24년이라는 세월이 흘렀다.”라고 말했다.

김준호 예비후보는 다양한 분야에서 정치적 경험을 한 인물로 강원도에서 출마를 하게 된 계기가 남달라 세간에 주목을 받고 있다. 아내의 항암 치료 후 건강회복을 위해 처삼촌이 사는 삼척에 정착한지 어언 9년이다. 김준호 예비후보가 이곳 삼척에 처음 정착할 때, 어려운 여건 속에서 삼척 시민들이 살아가는 모습을 보았다고 했다.

김준호 예비후보가, 삼척을 위해 강원도의원에 출마한 이유는 아주 간단하다. ‘육지 속에 섬’에서 ‘강원도의 삼척’을 만들겠다는 것이다. 이처럼 그는 “삼척시민들과 ‘강원도하면 삼척이지’라는 인식을 국민들에게 심어주고 싶다”라고 말했다.

또, 김 예비후보는 “삼척을 방문하기 위해 필요한 사통팔달의 철도·도로망 구축을 만들어 오가기 편한 삼척을 만들겠다.”라는 자신감을 표명했다. 이어 “삼척을 방문하는 수요에 맞춰 먹거리, 볼거리, 즐길 거리 등 다양한 컨텐츠를 삼척시민과 만들어 소상공인, 청년 일자리, 지역경제 활성화를 도모할 계획 이다.”라고 말했다.

이번 6.1 지방선거는 삼척시민들이 삼척에 필요한 사람을 뽑아 삼척의 일꾼으로서 만드는 날이다. 김준호 예비후보도 그 일꾼이 되 보겠다는 것이다. 하지만, 삼척 시민의 선택은 아무도 모른다. 그는 삼척시민의 선택을 받기위해 열심히 할뿐이다. 물론 다른 후보지들도 마찬가지 이다.
