[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 12월 1일부터 의정부시 의정부미술도서관은 ‘보다, 만들다, 칠하다.’ 展을 개최한다고 밝혔다.

이번 전시는 겨울방학을 맞이해 현대미술의 감상과 체험이 동시에 이루어지는 체험형 전시로, 현대미술계에서 가장 활발히 활동하고 있는 빠키 작가와 지희킴 작가가 참여했으며, 두 작가의 회화, 드로잉, 설치미술 등 다양한 매체를 포함한 40여 점의 작품을 선보인다고 했다. 

빠키 작가는 스쳐 지나가는 무수한 인간들, 그리고 사물이 정해진 궤도 안에서 움직이고 만들어지는 과정에서 생성되는 에너지에 관심을 기울였는데, 존재의 순환, 생성과 소멸에 대한 질문들을 던지며 주변의 사물들을 기하학적인 요소로 해석해 빠키만의 유쾌한 시각적 언어를 통해 표현해왔으며, 이번 전시를 통해 이러한 기하학적 요소들을 평면과 입체를 넘나드는 매체 위에 선보일 예정이라고 했다.

지희킴 작가는 버려지거나 기부 받은 책의 특정 페이지에서 단어나 문장을 발췌해 이와 연관된 기억을 찾아 기억에 의해 연상되는 이미지를 책 위에 그리는 방식으로 작업하는데, 이번 전시를 통해 2011년부터 2019년까지 제작한 작품 11점과 신작 9점 등의 북 드로잉 시리즈를 선보이며, 컬러링 월 프로젝트는 3개월 간 관객참여 작품을 완성해 나간다고 전했다.

12월 1일부터 내년 3월 2일까지 ‘보다, 만들다, 칠하다.’ 展은 의정부미술도서관 1층 전시관에서 관람할 수 있으며, 의정부미술도서관 3층 프로그램실에서는 전 연령층을 대상으로 전시 연계 교육 프로그램 작가 키트를 운영하고, 전시 해설은 매일 오전 11시, 오후 2시에 진행한다고 했다.

의정부미술도서관은 코로나19 지역 전파 방지를 위해, 전시관 내부 동시 관람 인원을 최대 15명으로 제한하며, 의정부미술도서관 운영 시간 및 자세한 문의사항은 미술도서관으로 문의하면 된다고 밝혔다.
