[김준호 기자 = 동해시] 동해시(시장 심규언)가 장애인의 사회참여 확대와 평생교육을 위해  실시한 독서문화 프로그램사업인 생활 문해교육, 책놀이 프로그램, 원예교실, 문화체험, 목공예 수업, 견학 등 6개분야 교육을 지난해 4월부터 12월까지 발한도서관에서 운영했다.

시는, 생활 문해교육을 통해 수준별 한글 습득과 그림책을 읽고 책놀이 프로그램을 통해 참여자에게 문해력 증진과 독서 경험을 제공하고 특히 신체 표현 향상에 도움이 되는 원예교실 수업과 목공예 수업을 통해 참여자들로 하여금 높은 만족도를 높였다.

아울러, 지난해 8월부터 12월까지는 도자기와 제과제빵, 비누 만들기 체험, 강릉 아르떼뮤지엄 견학 등 다양한 문화체험이 이어졌다.

전춘미 평생교육센터 소장은 “다양한 장애인 프로그램을 통해 독서문화 확산 및 도서관의 사회적 역할을 다하기 위해 노력하겠다.” 라고 밝혔다.
