[남상훈 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 태백시가 신규 평생학습도시 선정에 따른 교육 프로그램을 본격적으로 운영한다고 밝혔다.

교육 프로그램은 초콜릿마스터 전문가 양성과정, 반려동물행동교정사 전문가 양성과정, 원예심리상담사 전문가 양성과정, 도시브랜드 은하수 해설사 양성과정, 태백자동차경주심판원 양성과정, 수제사과와인&와인소믈리에 전문가 양성과정으로 총 6강좌으로 진행되며, 140명의 수강생을 모집하여 운영할 계획이고, 운영강좌의 세부 내용은 태백시 홈페이지에서 확인 가능하며, 기타 문의 사항은 태백시 평생학습관으로 문의하면 된다고 했다.

접수기간은 4월 11일부터 오는 6월 10일까지로, 태백시민은 누구나 신청 가능하며, 수강료는 무료이나 수업에 따른 재료비, 자격 전형료(발급비 포함)는 학습자 부담이라고 했다.

태백시 관계자는 “본격적으로 시작되는 2022년 신규 평생학습도시 교육 프로그램을 통해 시민들이 평생학습도시의 혜택을 마음껏 누리시길 바라며, 시민이 배움을 통해 평생교육 시민행복도시로 거듭나기 위해 최선을 다하겠다.” 라고 말했다.

한편, 태백시 평생학습관은 시민들이 평생학습의 기회를 누릴 수 있도록 정기 평생학습프로그램을 비롯해, 성인문해교실, 평생학습 배움터, 맞춤형 프로그램, 평생학습동아리 지원 등 다양한 사업을 추진하고 있다고 했다.
