[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부] 환경부 원주지방환경청은 환경오염물질 배출사업장 지도·점검 등을 통해 사업장에서 자주 발생하는 위반사례를 수록한 ‘환경법령 위반사례집’을 발간한다고 밝혔다.

코로나19로 인한 지도·점검의 변동성을 고려하여 환경관리 사각지대를 효과적으로 돌보기 위해 관내 배출사업장을 대상으로 위반사례집 4,000부를 제작‧배부한다고 했다.

이는 위반사례집을 통해 사업장 스스로 환경관리 실태를 파악하도록 하여 위법사항 점검 및 환경오염행위 예방과 관련법령 준수를 유도하기 위함이라고 했다.

위반사례집은 대기, 수질, 폐기물의 환경 분야로 구성되어 있고, 각 분야별로 사업장에서 지켜야 할 법령 핵심사항을 요약‧수록하였다고 전했다.

아울러, 최근 3년간 배출사업장 지도‧점검 시 가장 많이 적발되고 사업장에서 혼동하기 쉬운 주요 사례(대기 20, 수질 12, 폐기물 16)를 관련 사진과 함께 담아 사업장에서 이해하기 쉽도록 구성하였다고 했다.

이번 위반사례집은 배출사업장, 지자체, 환경기술인협회, 상공회의소 등에 배부하고, 청 홈페이지에도 게시하여 많은 사업장이 환경 법령 정보를 얻을 수 있게 할 예정이라고 전했다.

원주지방환경청 이창흠 청장은 “코로나19로 지역경제가 어려운 시기에 사업장이 자발적으로 환경관리 체계를 구축하고, 환경법령 위반으로 인한 배출사업장의 불이익이 조금이나마 줄어들기를 바라는 뜻에서 위반사례집을 발간하게 되었다.”라고 밝혔다.
