[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 태백시는 안전한 주거환경 조성과 생활 안전을 도모하기 위해 관내 화재 취약계층을 대상으로 주택용 소방시설을 지원한다고 밝혔다.

지원대상은 국민기초생활수급자, 차상위계층, 다문화가족, 한부모가족, 독거노인, 청소년가장, 장애인 및 소방서 원거리 주택 거주자 등이라고 했다.

태백시는 사업비 1천 100만원을 투입해 200가구를 대상으로 분말형 소화기(가구별 1대)와 단독 경보형 감지기(구획된 공간마다 1대)를 지원할 계획이며 소화기 배부 시 사용방법 및 화재예방교육을 별도 실시할 예정이라고 했다.

신청기간은 오는 4월 20일까지이며, 신청방법은 주소지 관할 동 행정복지센터를 방문해 신청서를 제출하면 된다고 전했다.

태백시 관계자는 “화재위험 요소를 예방하고 인명피해가 발생하지 않도록 주택용 소방시설 설치 지원을 더욱 확대해 나가겠다”고 말했다.

한편, 태백시는 2019년부터 2021년까지 관내 저소득층 262세대에 소화기와 단독경보형 감지기를 무료로 지원한 바 있다고 전했다.
