동해시는 총사업비는 8,800만원을 투입해 22,000건의 택배비를 지원할 예정이며, 신청은 오는 2월 4일까지 동해시 농업기술센터에서 방문 접수 하면 된다고 전했다.

택배비 지원사업은 매년 1월부터 12월까지 발송한 농산물과 1차 가공품(절임 배추, 고춧가루)를 택배 판매하는 경영체 등록 농업인 및 생산단체에서 신청 가능하며, 대상 농가에게는 택배비의 50%를 지원하고, 1인당 최대 50만원까지 지급한다고 했다.

동해시는 올해 11월까지 택배 판매분만 올해 사업비로 지원할 계획이며, 12월분에 대해서는 2023년 택배비 지원사업에서 지원할 예정이라고 했다.

정미경 농업기술센터 소장은 “코로나19의 장기화로 농업인의 경제적 부담이 누적되고 있다”며, “농산물 직거래 활성화를 통해 농산물 판매 확대와 농가소득 안정에 도움이 되길 바란다”고 말했다.
