[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 16일 영중면사무소는 영중면지역사회보장협의체를 통해 공적서비스 대상자에서는 제외되었지만 실질적으로 어려움을 겪고 있는 저소득계층 62가구에 상품권 및 고기를 전달했다고 밝혔다. 

이번 후원물품은 지역사회의 어려운 이웃을 위해 써달라며 양문서울의원에서 사회복지공동모금회에 기탁한 기부금 800만 원으로 마련됐다고 했다.

배철영 원장은 “코로나19로 어려움을 겪고 있는 영중면의 이웃들에게 작은 도움을 드리고 싶었다.”라며 후원 소감을 밝혔다.

이창수 지역사회보장협의체위원장은 “소외된 이웃들에게 늘 관심을 갖고 지역 이웃들을 위해 물심양면으로 베풀어 주시는 배철영 원장님께 감사드린다.”라고 말했다. 

안문종 영중면장은 “매년 추석 때마다 훈훈한 나눔을 실천해주셔 감사하고 우리 주변의 취약계층을 발굴하고 지원하는 일에 최선을 다하겠다.”라며 감사의 마음을 전했다.
