[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 3월 31일, 의정부시 의정부2동은 새봄을 맞이하여 깨끗하고 쾌적한 생활환경 조성을 위한 ‘2022년 새봄맞이 대청소’를 실시했다고 밝혔다.

이날 대청소는 의정부2동 행복홀씨 입양단체인 통장협의회를 비롯하여 동 직원 등 60여명이 참여한 가운데 코로나19 방역 수칙을 준수하며 4개 구역별로 나뉘어 환경정화 활동을 실시했고, 대청소 참여자들은 이면도로 및 중심상가 구석구석을 누비며 겨우내 방치된 무단투기 폐기물을 수거하고 도로변 가로수 및 띠녹지 보호를 위해 설치한 방풍막이를 제거하는 등 쾌적한 도시환경을 조성하기 위한 정화 활동을 실시했다고 전했다.

노성천 의정부2동장은 “새봄맞이 대청소에 솔선수범하여 동참해주신 통장협의회 회원 및 직원들에게 감사의 말씀을 드리며 앞으로도 지역 주민과 함께 쾌적하고 활기찬 의정부2동을 만들기 위해 다각도로 노력하겠다”고 밝혔다.
