[김현우 기자 = 경기북부] 지난 8일 화현면은 이장협의회와 민‧관 합동으로 포천운악산 일대에서 환경정화 활동을 펼쳤다고 밝혔다.

이번 환경정화활동은 화현면에서 추진하는 「다시 찾고 싶은 포천운악산 만들기」사업의 일환으로, 포천운악산 광장과 등산로 일대에 방치된 쓰레기를 수거했다고 했다.

「다시 찾고 싶은 포천운악산 만들기」사업은 화현면의 대표 관광자원인 운악산을 관광객들이 사계절 내내 방문할 수 있도록 경관을 재정비하고 화현면 주민들이 직접 등산로 환경정화 활동에 참여하는 민‧관 합동 추진 사업이라고 했다.

이강인 회장은 “무심코 지나칠 수 있는 포천운악산일대를 이장님들과 함께 직접 청소할 수 있어 굉장히 마음이 뿌듯하다. 앞으로 화현면 대표 관광자원인 운악산을 깨끗이 보존하기 위해 더욱 더 노력하겠다.”라고 말했다.
