[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 김경호 도의원은 경기도와 가평군의 노력으로 계곡 내 불법시설이 사라져 많은 피서객들이 몰려들고 있으나 인프라가 부족해 피서객들이 불편을 느끼고 있다며 대책 마련을 요구했다고 밝혔다.

따라서 편의시설 부족으로 인해 계곡을 찾는 피서객 일부는 차를 주차하지 못해 돌아가거나 계곡에 미리 자리를 잡았더라도 화장실 부족으로 상가 화장실을 빌려 쓰거나 노상방뇨를 하고 있는 실정이라고 했다.

용소폭포 등 경기도 대표 계곡인 가평군 북면 도대리의 경우는 불법 하천 정비사업 후 경기도가 계곡상권 활성화를 위해 농산물 판매장을 설치하였으나 이에 따른 후속 조치가 이뤄지지 않아 올해 성수기에 마냥 방치된 상태로 있다고 했다.

이에 김 의원은 경기도에 하천관리 후속 사업으로 편의시설 설치를 요구하고 있으나 경기도는 예산 부족을 이유로 방치하고 있다고 밝혔다.
