[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 31일 경기도의회 농정해양위원회 김경호 의원은 경기도의회 대회의실에서 열린 ‘2021년 우수조례 및 제12회 우수의정대상 시상식’에서 우수조례를 수상했다고 밝혔다.

이날 행사는 능동적이며 선제적인 의정활동으로 모범이 된 우수한 지방의원을 대상으로 우수조례를 선정하여 지방의회의 역할을 홍보하고자 개최한 것으로 나타났다고 했다.

김 의원은 「경기도 산림기본 조례」를 제정하여 산림 자원의 보전과 임업 육성을 통해 도민의 삶의 질을 향상시키고 지역 경제 활성화에 기여한 공로를 인정받아 수상하게 됐다고 했다.

특히, 경기도에서 산림 자원이 가장 풍부한 곳 중 하나인 가평을 지역구로 두고 있는 김 의원은 해당 조례를 통해 지역발전에도 이바지한 것으로 나타났다고 했다.

김 의원은 “우수조례를 수상하게 되어 기쁘면서도 한편으로는 책임감이 든다”며 “앞으로도 경기도민이 좋은 환경에서 행복하게 살 수 있도록 더욱 노력하겠다”고 말했다.

김경호 의원은 가평 출신 초선 의원으로서 지난 2018년 제10대 경기도의회에 첫발을 내디뎠으며, 농정해양위원회 부위원장직을 맡아 농정 분야 전반에 대해 현장의 목소리를 담은 대안 제시를 하며 경기도 농정 정책 발전을 위해 적극적인 의정활동을 펼치고 있다고 전했다.
