[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 11월 13일 포천청소년문화의집에서는 관내 초등4학년~중등3학년 청소년을 대상으로 진로·직업 특강프로그램 ‘펫(Pet)프(Friend)’ 애견훈련사 체험활동을 진행했다고 밝혔다.

진로·직업체험 특강프로그램 애견훈련사 체험활동은 애견 관련 직업에 관한 교육 및 활동을 통해 직업 세계에 대한 폭넓은 이해와 다양한 진로 탐색의 기회를 제공하고자 마련됐고, 참가 청소년들은 애견 관련 사업에 대한 전반적인 이론 수업뿐만 아니라 리드줄잡기, 앉아 훈련, 어질리티 실습, 전문가와의 대화 등을 통해 직업에 대한 이해의 폭을 넓힐 수 있었다고 했다.

활동에 참가한 한 청소년은 “애견훈련사 꿈을 키우고 있었는데, 현장에서 일하시는 전문강사님을 직접 만나 실습 훈련을 통해 더 관심이 생겼다. 다음에도 다양한 진로·직업체험활동을 경험해보고 싶다.”라고 소감을 전했다.

체험을 담당했던 애견훈련사 최모 강사는 “이번 체험을 통해 포천시 관내 청소년들이 애견 관련 직업에 많은 관심과 열정을 가지고 꿈을 키울 수 있길 바란다.”라고 말했다.

한편, 포천청소년문화의집은 앞으로도 청소년에게 필요한 진로·직업 특강프로그램을 지속적으로 진행할 예정이라고 밝혔다.
