[남상훈 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 18일부터 동해시가 코로나19로 운영을 중단했던 관내 경로당 127개소에 대한 운영을 전면 재개한다고 밝혔다.

시는 그동안 코로나19 확산 방지를 위해 지난 2021년 12월부터 경로당 운영을 중단했었으며, 이번 운영 재개는 중대본의 사회적 거리두기 완화 방침에 따라 결정됐다고 했다.

단, 시는 코로나19 확산이 계속되는 상황을 고려, 주기적인 소독 환기를 비롯해 오는 4월 30일까지 경로당 내 취식을 삼가 줄 것을 당부했으며, 코로나19 예방접종, 손 씻기, 사적모임 최소화, 마스크 착용 등 생활 방역 수칙도 함께 안내했다고 했다.

동해시 관계자는 “코로나19 장기화로 힘든 시간을 보내는 어르신들에게 이번 경로당 전면 개방이 일상의 활력을 되찾는 데 도움이 될 것으로 기대된다”며, “어르신들이 안전하게 시설을 이용할 수 있도록 최선을 다할 계획”이라고 전했다.
