[안종욱 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 북면행정복지센터에 지속적으로 후원하고 있는 유일닭강정과 파주닭국수는 최근 개최된 2021 축제푸드올림픽에 ‘닭~먹어버리겠다’의 팀으로 참석하여 가평의 지역특색을 담아 ‘알콘잣콩 닭강정, 가평사과에이드’를 선보여 은메달을 수상하며 뜨거운 관심을 끌었다고 밝혔다.

유일닭강정 유정원 대표와 파주닭국수 유병훈 대표는 지난 1월 29일 북면지역사회보장협의체와 업무협약을 체결하여 코로나19로 어려운 시기에도 매월 꾸준히 기부를 이어가고 있다고 했다.

유일닭강정과 파주닭국수 대표인 유병훈, 유정원 남매는 “이번 대회에 쟁쟁한 경쟁팀들이 참석했지만, 가평을 대표하여 참석한 만큼 최선을 다했다”고 소감을 밝혔고, “이웃돕기에 참석하고 나서 많은 변화가 있었는데 바로 이웃들로부터 많은 응원 메시지를 받았었다며 정말 놀랐다”고 말했다.
