[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 정선군민들이 코로나19 장기화 등으로 건강에 대한 관심이 높아지고 있는 가운데 엘리트 체육과 생활스포츠 활성화를 위해 힘을 모으고 있다고 밝혔다.

정선군과 정선군체육회에서는 미래의 주역인 스포츠 꿈나무 선수 육성과 엘리트 종목 육성, 체육 동호회 활성화를 위해 1사 1스포츠 후원 업무협약을 추진하고 있으며, 지난 1월 축구를 비롯한 그라운드골프, 탁구, 궁도, 게이트볼 등 5개 종목에 대해 정선농업협동조합과 여량농업협동조합, 임계농업협동조합, 예미농업협동조합, 정선군산림조합이 참여해 후원 업무협약을 맺었다고 했다.

또한 자전거, 농구, 골프, 바둑, 족구 종목을 후원하기 위해 정선신협, 성현토건, 정선랜드 하이캐슬, 청암종합건설, 동방레미콘에서 업무협약을 체결하는 등 엘리트 체육과 생활스포츠 활성화 후원 협약에 가속도를 내고 있다고 전했다.

1사 1스포츠 후원 업무협약에 따라 전국 및 도 단위 대회에 참가하는 종목별 선수 격려는 몰론 엘리트 종목 꿈나무 선수 육성, 체육 동호회 활성화에 적극 참여하게 되고, 아울러 업무 협약이 체결 10개 종목이외 나머지 23개 종목에 대해서도 상반기 중으로 1사 1스포츠 후원 협약을 추진해 나갈 예정이며, 더욱 많은 군민들이 후원에 동참할 수 있도록 적극 홍보에 주력해 나간다는 방침이라고 했다.

정선군에는 축구, 수영, 그라운드골프, 게이트볼 등 총 33개 종목 127클럽에서 3,369명의 동호인들이 생활체육 저변확대를 위해 활동하고 있다고 전했다.

최상철 군체육회장은 "1사1스포츠 후원을 통해 스포츠 꿈나무 선수 육성을 위한 지속적 지원과 군민들의 건강한 삶을 위한 생활스포츠 활성화에 기여할 수 있도록 더욱 노력해 나갈 계획"이라고 말했다.
