군이 관리하는 지방상수도 관로는 총 909km로, 연일 계속되는 한파주의보로 인한 동파 피해가 발생해, 지난 3일 기준으로 현재까지 수도관 2건, 계량기 3건의 동결 피해가 접수되었으며, 각각 신속하게 복구 완료하였다고 전했다.

또한, 동절기 공사 중지 현장에서 대해서도 추가적인 동파 점검을 진행 중에 있으며, 공사가 다시 재개되는 시점인 다가오는 봄까지 인근 주민들의 불편함이 없도록 현장관리에 주의를 기울일 계획이고, 추가적인 동파 피해가 발생하지 않도록 군은 각 읍·면의 이·반장들에게 동파 예방 협조 및 홍보를 부탁하였으며, 비상급수를 위한 비상급수체계를 마련하고, 한파 피해 긴급 복구반을 운영하고 있다고 했다.
