좌운2리는 지난 2002년 마을상수도로 설치된 지하수(급수용량 40t/일)를 수원으로 사용하고 있으며, 소규모 수도시설은 지방상수도(수돗물) 미보급 지역 주민들의 생활용수 공급을 위해 지하수, 계곡수 등을 취수원으로 활용해 소규모 정·배수시설로 운영되고 있기 때문에 대규모 시설을 갖춘 지방상수도에 비해 상대적으로 수질 변화에 취약한 단점이 있다고 했다.
