[김준호 기자 = 동해시] 동해시가 수돗물 공급과정에 정보통신기술(ICT)을 접목한 스마트 관망관리 인프라 구축사업을 추진하고 있다고 밝혔다.

지방상수도 스마트 관망관리 인프라 구축사업은 실시간 수질감시 및 소규모 유량·수압 감시 등의 정보통신기술을 활용해 보다 효율적인 수돗물 수질 감시체계를 구축하는 사업으로, 국도비 등을 포함하여 총 3,826백만원을 투입해 진행하고 있다.

주요 추진사업으로는 실시간 수질을 감시하는 수질계측기, 이상 수질 발생 시 탁수를 자동으로 배출하는 자동드레인, 수도관 내부를 세척하여 수도사고를 예방하는 관세척 등이 있다.

시는 현재까지 소규모 유량·수압 감시를 위한 유량계실 10개소, 자동드레인 4개소, 관세척 인프라시설 8개소 설치를 완료하였고, 공정률 75%로 올해 완공을 목표로 사업 추진에 속도를 내고 있다.

이달형 상하수도사업소장은 “수돗물 공급과정에 최신 정보통신기술을 접목하여 양질의 수돗물 공급 서비스를 제공할 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
