[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 12월 8일 의정부시 송산1동지역사회보장협의체는 송산1동주민센터 100일간 사랑릴레이 배턴 잇기 운동창구에 성금 50만 원을 기탁했다고 밝혔다.

송산1동지역사회보장협의체 위원들은 작년에도 난방취약계층을 위해 성금 90만 원을 기부했으며, 매월 정기후원뿐만 아니라 복지사각지대 발굴 캠페인, 거동불편 어르신들을 위한 반찬 지원 및 안부확인 등의 봉사활동을 펼치며 송산1동 주민들의 복리증진과 지역사회발전을 위해 노력해오고 있다고 했다.

이민종 지역사회보장협의체 위원장은 “추운 겨울을 보내는 이웃들을 생각하며 보탬이 되기를 바라는 마음에 기부를 하게 되었고, 앞으로도 더욱 많은 나눔을 실천해 지역사회와 함께 발전해나가도록 최선을 다 하겠다”고 밝혔다.

김진수 송산1동장은 “매 주마다 송산1동 어르신들을 위해 봉사활동을 하는 지역사회보장협의체 위원장님과 위원분들께서 이번에는 성금 기부를 통해 이웃사랑을 몸소 실천해주셔서 진심으로 감사드리며, 기부해주신 성금은 도움이 필요한 이웃들을 위해 사용하도록 하겠다.”고 말했다.
