 [김준호 기자] 동해시(시장 심규언)가 오는 11일(화) 오후2시 부터 3시 송정동 행정복지센터 2층에서 ‘송정지구 도시재생활성화계획(안) 주민공청회’를 개최한다고 밝혔다.

이번 공청회는 송정동 848-196번지 일원 163,619㎡에 상권활성화, 주거 및 생활환경 인프라 개선 등을 설명하고, 주민 목소리를 경청하기 위해 마련됐다.

시는 동해-블라디 문화센터 및 송정문화거리 조성, 로컬문화 활성화 프로그램, 송정 문화축제 등 활력있는 상권 로컬문화를 조성해 나갈 계획이며, 해군 장병 지원을 위한 이나비 플랫폼 조성, 이나비 송정 성장 프로그램 운영, 더 나은 삶을 위한 주민주체 정주환경 개선을 비롯해 그린 모빌리티 활성화 등을 추진한다는 방침이다.

이번 공모에 선정되면  2023년부터 2026년까지 송정지구 도시재생사업을 추진하게 된다. 앞으로 사업이 시행되면 지역민의 정주여건 개선은 물론 송정지구만의 브랜드 구축으로 관광객 증가와 지역경제 활성화에 기여 할 것으로 전망하고 있다.

임성규 도시정비과장은 “송정동만의 특화된 재생 모델을 구현해 공모에 반드시 선정될 수 있도록 최선을 하겠다”고 말했다.
