[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 10월 27일부터 30일까지 의정부시는 경남 창원시 마산해양신도시에서 개최한 2021 대한민국 도시재생 산업박람회에 참가해 홍보부스를 통해 의정부시에서 추진하고 있는 도시재생사업을 홍보하는 등 4일간의 행사를 마무리했다고 밝혔다.

도시재생 산업박람회는 국토교통부가 주최하는 국내 최대 유일 도시재생산업 비즈니스의 장으로서, 도시재생 관련 산업 경쟁력 제고 및 활성화와 변화하는 도시재생의 트렌드를 한자리에서 파악하고자 매년 실시하고 있는 행사라고 했다. 

도시재생사업을 추진하고 있는 의정부시는 도시재생사업을 원활히 추진하기 위해 행사에 참여하였으며, 의정부 도시재생을 다른 지역에 좀 더 널리 알릴 수 있는 계기가 되었다고 전했다.

의정부시 도시재생과장은 “도시재생 산업박람회와 같은 비즈니스 장이 마련되어 여러 사업관계자들이 한자리에 모일 수 있다는 것은 도시재생 산업 분야에 긍정적”이라며, “복합적 이해관계를 기반으로 실행해나가는 도시재생이 이번 산업박람회를 통해 더욱 발전해 나갈 수 있길 바란다. 의정부시도 지속적으로 노력해 나갈 것”이라고 말했다.
