[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 10월 29일, 동두천시는 두드림뮤직센터에서 ‘2021 경기도 지역사회보장협의체 역량강화 컨퍼런스’를 비대면 생중계로 개최했다고 밝혔다. 

이날 행사는 지역사회 민관협력의 구심점인 경기도 시·군 및 읍면동 지역사회보장협의체 위원들을 격려하고, 위기이웃 발굴·지원 우수사례를 공유함으로써 협의체 활성화 방안을 모색하기 위해 마련됐다고했다. 

특히 이날 행사에서는 민·관 협력을 통한 위기이웃 발굴·지원 우수사례 경진대회에서 수상한 시·군에 대한 시상이 있었고, 시상식에서는 '대상 평택시협의체', '최우수상 용인시협의체, 부천시신중동협의체', '우수상 동두천시협의체, 가평군설악면협의체', '장려상 광주시협의체, 양평군협의체, 동두천시소요동협의체, 안산시월피동협의체, 파주시금촌2동협의체'가 각각 선정되어 수상했다고 전했다. 

최용덕 동두천시장은 환영사를 통해 “코로나19 장기화로 인해 어려운 이웃을 발굴하고 지원하기 위해 앞장서고 있는 지역사회보장협의체 위원님들께 감사드린다”며 “위기 상황에 맞춰 다양한 맞춤형 복지사업을 추진할 수 있도록 모두 함께 힘써 달라”고 당부했다.
