전국시장군수구청장협의회 주최로 진행된 대한민국 좋은 정책대회는 전국 기초지방정부의 우수 정책 사례를 발굴해 국민 관심을 높이고자 전국 102개 기초지자체에서 268건의 정책이 응모했으며, 교통복지 실현에 앞장서고 있는 정선군이 전국 대상으로 선정되었고, 이번 정책대회는 1차 외부 심사에서 20건을 선정해 2차 PT심사 이후 3차 국민심사로 진행되었다고 했다.

지난 11월 23일 서울 MBN 방송국에서 최승준 정선군수가 '행복을 전하는 와와버스'를 주제로 버스완전공영제 추진 배경 및 과정, 그동안의 추진성과, 문화와 관광, 경제, 복지를 접목한 향후 교통복지 행정 추진계획에 대하여 발표했으며, 또한 3차 국민심사단의 심사에서 내륙권 최초로 버스완전공영제를 시행해 성공적으로 자리 잡은 교통행정 분야 정책인 '와와버스'가 높은 평가를 받았다고 전했다.

대한민국 좋은 정책대회 시상식은 오는 12월 28일 서울 MBN 방송국에서 진행될 예정이라고 했다.
