[서종협 기자 = 영월군] 이달 4일 강원 혁신지식산업센터 1층에서 사회적경제기업 생산제품 공공구매 우수상품 공모전에서 '협동조합 화이통'이 장려상을 수상했다고 밝혔다.

강원도에서 주최·주관한 이번 공모전은 도내 소재한 사회적 경제기업이 생산한 제품으로 10만원 이하의 기념·답례품 또는 사무용품으로 공공구매가 가능한 제품을 대상으로 추진되었으며, '협동조합 화이통'은 꽃차 3종 세트를 출품, 장려상을 수상하여 상장 및 시상금을 받았다.

이번 수상을 통해 공공기관 상설 전시관 전시 기회 및 온라인 쇼핑몰 입점 배너 노출 등, 홍보 강화로 인한 공공구매 확대 등 특전이 있을 예정이다. 

이에 화이통 양승우 대표는 “우수상품으로 선정되어 매우 영광스럽고, 넓은 공공시장에 진출하여 꽃 재배 면적 확대와 가공 생산 물량 증가로 영월지역 어르신 일자리 창출에 공헌하기를 기대한다.”고 말했다.
