[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 오는 5월을 맞아 의정부시 과학도서관은 창의력 향상을 돕는 과학 탐구·체험중심의 다양한 문화프로그램을 대면·비대면으로 운영한다고 밝혔다.

초등학교 4~6학년 대상 ‘명화 톡톡 표현 톡톡’ 프로그램을 운영해 명화, 현대미술, 민화 등 다양한 작품 감상을 하고 나만의 작품을 그려볼 예정이라고 전했다.

오는 5월 사이언스쿨은 초등학교 1~4학년 대상 움직이는 기계, 오토마타 공작소를 운영해 오토마타의 작동원리를 알아보고, 3~6학년 학생들과 드론·로켓을 포함한 항공우주과학 이론을 재미있게 배워보며, 도서관 접근이 어려운 취약계층 지원을 위해 의정부노인복지관을 찾아가 어르신 독서레크리에이션을 진행하고, 6~7세 유아 대상 놀이랑 과학실험실에서는 청진기를 만들어 내 몸속 소리를 들어보고 뼈 모형 만들기 활동을 하며 인체의 신비 체험을 한다고 했다.

과학도서관은 다채로운 수업을 통해 풍부한 문화적, 과학적 체험 기회를 제공해 의정부시민이 다양한 독서문화 생활을 즐길 수 있도록 지속적인 지원을 할 예정이라고 전했다.
